The Millennium Development Goals Report 2015 will be launched by the Secretary-General on 6 July 2015. The report provides a final assessment of global and regional progress towards the MDGs. It documents the 15-year effort to achieve the aspirational goals set out in the Millennium Declaration and highlights the many successes across the globe, but acknowledges the gaps that remain. In addition to final assessment of the progress, this year’s report features a special section discussing sustainable data for sustainable development. The report is based on comprehensive official statistics compiled by the Inter-Agency and Expert Group on MDG indicators led by UN DESA’s Statistics Division.
