International Seminar on Data for Sustainable Development Goals: Data Disaggregation
The United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and Statistics Korea (KOSTAT) are organising an International Seminar on Data for Sustainable Development Goals: Data Disaggregation, to be held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from 3-4 November 2016. This seminar will bring together international experts to discuss some of the challenges faced by national statistical systems in producing disaggregated data to monitor the sustainable development goals and targets and ensure no one is left behind. The main topics of the seminar include: national experiences and challenges in producing disaggregated data, innovative solutions to address the data needs of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and statistical capacity building initiatives aimed at reinforcing national statistical systems to produce disaggregated data. The discussions will contribute to a work plan or suggest project(s) to coordinate efforts to enhance nationally produced disaggregated data.
