Description:
Proposal for future change in ISIC - Agric - SPC
Request
Some agriculture-related activities which are very common in
the Pacific cause classification problems e.g. coconuts. - You can eat them or drink them, or you can:
(1) crack them open and feed them to the pigs;
(2) get the meat out and dry it to make copra for the oil mill;
(3) grate the meat for coconut cream (mainly used in cooking);
(4) burn the shell to make charcoal (it's not trivial, many families use lots
of charcoal for cooking).
- Is (1) in 1533 or does it stay in 0113?
- (3) is really food preparation for own consumption - is this manufacturing?
- Where does (4) belong in ISIC?
