The Expert Group met on 6-8 September 2017 at UN Headquarters in New York, USA.
The Expert Group discussed:
- an assessment of implementation of international statistical classifications in national statistical systems,
- current and planned work on a number of international classifications, such as:
- the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities (ISIC) Rev. 4,
- the Central Product Classification (CPC),
- the Harmonized Commodity Description and Coding System (HS),
- the Classification of Individual Consumption According to Purpose (COICOP),
- the International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO08),
- the International Classification of Status in Employment (ICSE-93),
- classifications within a Framework for a Cultural Satellite Account,
- classifications of Gender Identity,
as well as other areas of work related to international classifications and their application.
