Lehlohonolo Takalimane

Biography

Lehlohonolo Takalimane is a senior statistician at the Bureau of Statistics Lesotho (BOS), and he is the Head of Gender and Health Statistics Section a role that he assumed in 2015. Prior to this, he worked as statistician responsible for data collection in the Field Operations and Survey Design division.

Lehlohonolo has been central in the production of all Gender Statistics Reports produced by BOS. His wish in the gender statistics sector is to see policy formulation and implementation that is fully informed and guided by credible data.

He has represented Lesotho in various national, regional and global platforms that deal and adhere with gender statistics.

He holds a Bachelor of Social Science Degree in Economics and a minor in statistics. In pursuit of his continued professional development, he has undertaken courses with regard gender related issues and understanding.
