Purpose:
The ICHA-HF classification is part of the accounting framework for health financing described in the manual A System of Health Accounts 2011 (SHA 2011), which aims to help health accountants and analysts to obtain a clear and transparent picture of health financing systems, including information that is relevant to health policy about the structure and flows of funds (transactions).
Main Applications:
Compilation of health expenditure and financing statistics and health accounts according to SHA 2011. The classification is an integral part of the core accounting framework as well as the accounting framework for health financing provided by SHA 2011.

Compilers of health accounts (mainly National Statistical Institutes, Ministries of Health)
