Reason for Latest Revision:
ISCED-F was developed following the 2011 revision of ISCED97 and established as a related but separate classification.
Major Changes:
The classification was extended to a third level (the detailed fields). Certain narrow fields were promoted to the broad field level. A few narrow fields were sub-divided and assigned to different narrow or broad fields. A methodology for coding inter-disciplinary programmes and qualifications was introduced.
